'Twas the best of times...a Photo Tale of Two Greenwich's

The prettiest of villages, with its beautiful beach park and coastline, Old Greenwich, CT  is made up of a thriving community of involved people who are quick to volunteer. This is an affectionate look back on the place our children grew up and where we lived for 14 years:

David and I have now begun new adventures in London where we live in Greenwich overlooking the tidal Thames, where gulls and river birds wade in the mud at low tide, surrounded by nautical and royal history: Greenwich was the birthplace of Henry VIII, Elizabeth, Mary and many other Tudors. The center of time and place, you can straddle the Prime Meridian at Greenwich Mean Time at the Royal Observatory. See the park, the museums, the spectacular clipper, the Cutty Sark, (that still makes me beam with delight,) and cycle up and down the river to the Thames Barrier or Tower Bridge and beyond! London beckons us but we've been travelling too much to take full advantage..yet!

  1. Love, Love LOVE the photos from OG and from (new) G! Who knew you were such a good photographer? Looking at those photos from Burns suppers, snow on the birdhouse, flowers in the summer, I got sentimental and I still live here. And seeing the new photos of your beautiful new home, I'm eager to visit. Keep the photos and stories coming Marion. Merry Christmas to you where ever you are.
